Large Animal Disposal
Beginning July 1, 2010, disposal of all large animals will be subject to the following fees:
- Large animal disposal $75 / ton
- Large animal removal $150 / animal
For large animal removal, please contact the Williamson County Solid Waste Department at (615) 790-0742 during regular business hours. The animal must be located on county or state right-of-way.
For large animal disposal, animals may be brought to the Williamson County Landfill during regular business hours.
The Landfill will not accept deceased animals after 10AM on Saturdays.
Regarding animals hit by vehicles:
Williamson County Solid Waste can only respond to animal removal calls for deer that are obstructing the roadway or are within 10 feet of the road.
- Solid waste does not remove animals struck by vehicles other than deer.
- Solid waste staff cannot go on to personal properties (beyond 10 feet from a public roadway).
- Solid waste does not provide small animal removal services to the county.

- All other removal requests should be directed to private companies.
