Williamson County Merit Program
All WCS & FSSD schools in Williamson County, TN are welcome and encouraged to participate in the Williamson Recycles/Keep Williamson Beautiful Merit Program. This year-round program offers students environmental education and volunteer opportunities at school. Participating schools earn merit points for recycling rates and volunteer hours, which translate into an annual monetary award!
Our goal is to inspire generations of environmental stewards!
The program focuses on four areas:
Waste Reduction & Recycling, Litter Prevention, Beautification, and Education

Seasonal School Education Programs
Tree Wise - Kindergarten and First Grade Arbor Day Season Program, March
Tree Wise is the annual Arbor Day season education program bringing trees and tree education to kindergarten and 1st grade classes in Williamson County, TN. A Middle Tennessee Electric (MTE) arborist and the Williamson County recycling specialist conduct an assembly-style and interactive presentation at your school!
