Services for Adults
Family Planning
The
family planning program provides physical exams, cervical cancer screening,
breast and testicular cancer screening, testing and treatment for sexually
transmitted diseases, and pregnancy testing. Women and men are educated about
various birth control methods, and supplied with their chosen method (unless
there is a medical reason that would be dangerous).
If you are a new patient, please print and complete the Health History
questionnaire (English; Spanish) and bring
to your appointment with a list of any medications you are taking.
Immunization "Shots"
Immunizations
against polio, diphtheria, whooping cough, lockjaw, measles, mumps, rubella
(German measles), Hemophilus, and Hepatitis B are provided for children.
Influenza (flu) and pneumonia immunizations and diphtheria-tetanus boosters are
also available to adults for lasting protection against these diseases.
Prenatal
Pregnancy
testing, prenatal vitamins, referrals and temporary enrollment on TennCare are
available. Please ask us which services we offer.
Primary Care
Medical
staff is available to provide routine preventive care, sick care, and routine
physicals for diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses. Preventive
screenings such as pap smears, colorectal, prostate and other tests can be
conducted to screen for cancer. Referrals services are also available.
The health department participates in TennCare, and
accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield Network S, P and E insurance. Fees for services
are on a sliding fee scale based on family size and
income.

TB
Control
The Tennessee Tuberculosis Elimination Program at the Williamson County Health Department provides TB screening and evaluation. Services provide by the program include TB testing (TB skin test or IGRA) according to risk category, evaluation and management for individuals with TB infection or active tuberculosis including chest x-rays, administration of TB medications, case management services, and TB control within the Williamson County community.
STD
Screening
Free and confidential screening as well as counseling for prevention is
available for all sexually transmitted infections.
