Early Voting -

  • *Early voting begins (20) days prior and usually ends (5) days prior to Election Day*
  • *Any registered voter in the county may vote at any established early voting location regardless of their registered address*

*Attention Voters a Reminder*

  • Unless you are on the permanent absentee voting register, enrolled in the Safe at Home program, or you have previously voted in the county of registration, you must appear in person to vote in the first election after you have registered by mail or online at GoVoteTN.gov
  • The State or Federal Issued Photo Identification Requirement does not apply to those who are voting by mail
  • Tennessee state or Federal issued Photo ID (even if expired) is required to vote unless an exemption applies. First time voters who registered to vote by mail must show proof of correct address when voting (T.C.A. 2-7-112)
  • Voters must be registered in their county of residence no later than (30) days before Election Day in order to vote (T.C.A. 2-2-109)
  • Voters who have moved less than (90) days before the date of a Federal/State primary or General Election to another place inside Tennessee but outside the county where the voter is registered may vote in the polling place where the voter is registered (T.C.A. 2-7-115)
  • Voters who are inactive or have changed their address within the county must follow special procedures when voting or may be required to go to a different polling place (T.C.A. 2-7-140)
