FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (FEMA) TO BEGIN APPEAL PERIOD FOR FLOOD MAP CHANGES
FEMA will publish a public notification concerning proposed flood map changes, and the appeal process, in the Williamson Herald on or about December 23, 2020, and December 30, 2020. Following the second publication, a 90 day appeal period will begin. The proposed changes affect the Harpeth River and Little Harpeth River. It appears that approximately 26 structures in the unincorporated County are affected, with approximately 22 of those experiencing a decrease in the flood elevation and possible removal from the designated flood hazard area.
