[ARCHIVED] Press Release after First Four Days of Early Voting

The Williamson County Election Commission wishes to remind voters that early voting continues through Thursday, October 29 for the upcoming November 3, 2020, Federal/State General Election at eight voting locations throughout the county.

“We having a tremendous and historic turnout for early voting so far,” stated Chad Gray, Administrator of Elections, “after the first four days of in person early voting, approximately 33,000 ballots have been cast at our eight polling sites with an additional 6,500 ballots returned by-mail, which is already 24% of the nearly 166,000 registered voters in the county. We are pleased to have the Cool Springs Conference Center (Marriott Hotel), the Franklin Recreation Complex on Hillsboro Road and the Williamson County Agricultural Expo Center as additional sites for this election. Hours at all locations are until 6:30 p.m. weekdays and on this Saturday, October 24th from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Voters may anticipate a number of precautionary measures that have been implemented inside polling places to ensure their safety and welfare when casting their ballot.

Voters are also reminded to bring your Tennessee state issued or your Federal issued Photo ID even if it is expired (unless exempt under the law) to vote.

Offices appearing on the ballot will include Republican & Democratic nominees & Independent candidates for President and Vice President, United States Senate, United States House of Representatives (7th Congressional District), and Tennessee House of Representatives (Districts 61, 63 & 65). Municipal candidates will also be seeking election in the City of Fairview (Four Commissioners), and Town of Thompsons Station (Two Alderman).

The deadline to register to vote for this election was Monday, October 5th. If you choose to vote on Election Day, November 3rd, polls will be open from 7am to 7pm at any Vote Center. Any registered voter in Williamson County may vote at any Vote Center on Election Day regardless of where they actually reside within the
